Lucy Standbridge

Hello.

With over eight years in the digital industry, I bring a deep passion for creating intuitive, mobile-friendly websites, build to engage audiences effectively. Whether crafting a fresh design from scratch, or refining an existing site, I focus on delivering seamless user experiences that reflect a brand’s identity and resonate with its customers.

Throughout my career – spanning agency work and freelance projects – I’ve designed and developed websites of all sizes, from small startups and charities, to global ecommerce stores. My expertise extends beyond design, incorporating SEO strategies, digital marketing and social media management to help businesses grow their online presence.

I enjoy collaborating with people, and working together to make visions a reality, businesses grow and campaigns come to life. Let’s have a chat, and get talking about your project goals.

Why Iris?

Picking a name took some time – plenty of ideas were tossed around before settling on “Iris”, inspired by the Greek Goddess of Communication, a messenger who bridges connections, which felt like a perfect fit for what I do. Beyond mythology, the Iris flower also holds significance. In bloom right around the time of year my venture began, it embodies resilience and vibrancy – flourishing throughout the year in bold shades of green, orange, purple and cream, which became the brand’s colours. In Greek, “Iris” means rainbow and symbolised faith, wisdom and trust – values I aim to bring into every project.

Beyond the Computer Screen

As a self-described “Web Designing, Lindy Hopping, Dolly Parton Enthusiast”, life isn’t just about the internet! As a Lindy Hop and Charleston dancer, teacher, and performer, I can often be found travelling for events, leading classes or performing as part of a vintage troupe. Working with people to create something meaningful is always the focus, and this carries through into the work I do.
